A picture of Dr. McClain and his familyWelcome to Heritage Christian Schools, a Christian educational institution founded in Bakersfield, California, forty years ago. Many of our students over the years have become great civic, business, and educational leaders throughout California. Others have succeeded in a variety of other professions (medical, science, architecture, farming, oil) and reside now in other parts of the United States, as well in other countries in the world.  

Our staff is made up of dedicated Christian men and women who are professionally trained with the purpose to educate your children to their fullest capacity. We have three parts to our safely arranged campus; all are within walking distance of the other. We have a well thought out and multifaceted curriculum which carries with it a moral and biblical influence generated by each teacher. 

We invite you to be a part of the Heritage family; we would love to educate your children in a Christian atmosphere that we know would impact them in a positive way the rest of their lives. As Paul the Apostle wrote to his fellow Christians in Rome, “Those who believe in Him will not be disappointed.” (Romans 1:11) So it will be with your children, you will not be disappointed with us or the God we serve if you become a part of the family of Heritage Christian Schools.
