Some of my fondest memories growing up are singing in choir. I enjoyed the opportunity to sing with my friends, working hard on lines and cues, and being creative. I have traveled around the United States singing with my Youth Choir in high school and traveled outside of the country in college playing my flute in Brazil. It is amazing how music breaks through the walls of our hearts bringing us together. Every nation and every tribe has this language-the language of music. My mother shared with me the passion of music and working with children. When I turned 15 I joined a mentoring program at church in the preschool department and have been working with children in various capacities since. The opportunity to be choir director combines my love of teaching and music. I look forward to the many blessings that God will bring through the music the choir shares this year.
